Description

Ultra-Min Drench can be used all year around, as the components work in synergy, but its main use period is for livestock in late pregnancy so that newborns have been provided with essential vitamins and trace elements.

Ultra-Min should be used in sheep when they are feeding on brassicas which normally starts early to mid-winter. The other key use period is for young stock over the spring period when the grass flush lacks trace elements and again during summer months as pastures dry out offering little in feed value and goodness.

It is important to shake the Ultra-Min container well before use. Ultra-Min is a stable formulation but it is normal for such solutions to have some ingredients settling out over time.

Ultra-Min contains Selenium, if using other forms of Selenium consult with your vet or professional advisor before use.

Available in 5L, 20L and 60L containers.

Ultramin Blood Testing

In January we had a client reach out after having bloods done on Selenium levels of his ewes which came back significantly low averaging 5.6 ( see diagram 1), he asked for a quote on Selovin La and Flexidine/ long acting iodine injection mainly used pre tub, which he was also chasing coming into pre tub, for 3800 ewes it was going to cost him $11,500 for these to jabs,

We asked if he wanted to look at another option which I felt would be more beneficial for his ewes and cut cost significantly.

So we went down the route of drenching his ewes 3 x a year with Ultra Min which would cost him approx $4500 and better condition his ewes with the added minerals and vitamins that Ultra Min provides.

After 2 drenches of UltraMin roughly 10 weeks apart the bloods came back averaging Selenium levels of 18 (See diagram 2) this is a huge lift. More results to come in January with another drench at pre lamb followed up with a jab of selenised 5 in 1 this will allow us to see how it tracks over a 12 month cycle,
